Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical is a health examination mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers. A DOT physical helps determine if a driver is physically, and emotional fit to operate a SMV.
A DOT Physical evaluates a drivers vision, blood pressure, and a complete review of their medical history. This can help ensure a driver does not have certain health conditions and can safely operate a commercial vehicle. During a DOT Physical, your provider will test your vision, hearing, blood pressure/pulse rate, urinalysis, and physical examination.
Commercial Drivers need to bring a complete list of medications, dosage regimen, and a list of doctor’s name and addresses.
We will send you the documentation prior to your appointment.
